About Sister Bay MARINA CLUB
Our Mission
The core mission at Sister Bay MARINA CLUB is to create Sister Bay Waterfront Museum to preserve and display SHADOW, our historic 26 foot Chris Craft Sister Bay runabout that was delivered to Sister Bay in 1929, and other artifacts of Sister Bay's history..
We are going to do this and have a lot of fun as Club Members who support this mission.
“SHADOW PROJECT”
The Shadow Preservation Project was established by the Sister Bay Historical Society in accord with the Society’s mission: “to encourage, foster, and participate in the documentation, preservation, dissemination and renovation of historic information, artifacts, and sites in Sister Bay, Wisconsin”.

Founding Member Donations are needed in the following categories:
Admiral - $25,000 and above
Commander - $10,000 and above
Captain - $5,000 and above
Ensign - $1,000 and above
Shipmate - $150 & up
Of course, we appreciate donations of any amount! And…with a Letter of Intent, donations above $200 may be scheduled with partial annual installments (Ask for a Letter of Intent). Donations are tax-deductible* for those who itemize deductible expenses.
Donations are eligible for:
Qualified Charitable Distributions from retirement plans
Donations/grants from Donor Advised Fund accounts
Full deductibility and No Capital Gains Tax for Stock Transfer Donations
Charitable Gift Annuity purchases
Final Gifts from estate assets
Those who make donations of $1,000 or more will be recognized as Flag Officers with permanent recognition on a prominent plaque at the boathouse. All who contribute $150 or more will receive a certificate of thanks, and the “Sister Bay MARINA CLUB” burgee. All contributions will be acknowledged and these “crew” donations are important to help us serve the public.
Annual Membership Renewal contributions of $150 and MARINA CLUB events will generate broad public support to meet future costs of maintenance, insurance, etc. of the Waterfront Museum and provide special Club activities. We will sponsor and host several gatherings during the summer season with Sister Bay Historical Society for education about the Sister Bay Waterfront and other topics.
The annual Sister Bay Marina Fest will include a major event for Members and prospective new members. We plan to develop other Member events and opportunities for member dining, merchandise purchases, boating events, etc.
Donations of $150 or more include the first calendar year of Membership, social and educational activities, and a club burgee for display. Those who make donations of amounts $1,000 and above will be memorialized as Founder Members on a permanent plaque to recognize their support. All Donations, will be acknowledged and thanked for their help.
Annual Membership Renewal Contributions for 2027 will be $150.
